Established in 1999, BioSafe Supplies was established as a provider manufacturer of pathology kits. Since its conception, the company has become a leader in laboratory kitting, fulfillment and specimen transport industries.

BioSafe’s inventory concentrates on pathology, molecular, toxicology and DNA Laboratory needs including custom specimen collection and transport kits, shipping boxes, exam gloves, protective apparel, and advanced laboratory testing equipment. We also provide services such as specimen transport, storage and fulfillment, and logistics. BioSafe’s consulting division, Hankins Consulting, provides everything from laboratory information management systems to planning and buildout of turnkey laboratory operations.
Ron Hankins’ expertise of more than 20 years in technology and laboratory experience drove his passion to establish his own business. His passion for providing excellent patient care and customer service were his source of inspiration. Ron also partners with local medical service and supply providers in Central Florida, including CarePath Diagnostics, Hankins Consulting Group and his latest venture, Steri-Green.
Vision for BioSafe remains true today as the day Ron constructed the first prototype in his garage 16 years ago – To be the premier provider of healthcare supplies by nurturing an innovative environment offering customers affordable options.
Ron’s’ development for BioSafe included a kit for customers in need of a cost-effective, leak proof alternative that would meet DOT and IATA packaging regulations for infection and biological specimen transport. Once the proto-type for his kit came to fruition, Ron presented it to his customers. Their positive reaction led to the production of his first 5000 products. Within a few weeks it became apparent that customers wanted the product in multiple sizes of which BioSafe was happy to include.
